Though the area is crowded, congested and catastrophic, yet nothing can beat the variety and the bargain the Chandini Chowk are offers. As we got out of the metro station
we went through various grimy lanes towards Jama Masjid. As we were heading towards Jama Masjid we saw street market which provided all kinds of things.
They offered clothes for all ages and in all sizes, toys, watches, perfumes, electronics, home-made medicines, wallets, footwear, etc.
It is one of the most beautiful architectural pieces build during the Mughal period. But despite this fact, people had scribbled on the Masjid walls. The place was being considered as picnic spot by many.
When we reached their, it was their Namaz time. So we were asked to enter once the prayers were said. On entering, we saw a small pond for performing Wudhu. The mosque provided entry from 3 directions (North, South and East) for the people to enter. From the mosque, a clear view of the nearby market and Red Fort was seen. The place looked beautiful. Though the weather was warm, the winds helped us to get a relief in that weather. Though the place had many visitors yet it provided a silent peace to us.
