GOING INDEPTH

After all the tiring visits to chandni chowk,it was time that we compiled everything we saw. From the interviews to our personal observations and sketches we had to put everything in our logbook. As i was working on this, i realized that all women were either in burqa or baggy jeans ,no one wore what they would wear in mall or even a market.

Why was it like that? why weren't girls wearing that? then i realized that though even we were wearing proper clothes, cheap comments were passed on us. basically, i realized that women were not safe there. They could be raped,eve-teased etc

This was a major issue so i decided to take this as my opportunity area. I started to research on this. i found out that women find it difficult to retaliate if they were alone. so, i sketched out equipments which would help them to beat the teasers and protect themselves. further, i realized that if women had enough confidence, the can even slap the male rather than carrying any equipments.the main problem is the mentality of people and it is difficult to bring a change in today's generation but we can bring a change in the next generation. so, i decided to conduct a workshop in which both the genders would learn to respect each other. to conduct this workshop it was important to make people aware. therefore, i decided to do a drama in schools which would be compulsory to watch , this would be done to advertise the workshop.
